Landscape gardeners, Southdown Landscapes & Turf Co, is a family run business, started in the late 1960's, specialising in landscape gardening and the supply of top quality turf and topsoil. As a Rolawn approved distributor we stock quality cultivated turf.

Rolawn Minster Pro® is the ultimate ï¬ne bladed 100% fescue turf. A deep rooting turf of outstanding appearance, that meets the demands of today’s golf and bowling greens.
We also supply a generic turf for the more budget conscious.
Our laying service includes all preparation with topsoil / compost as a good base for all
of the grades, this also incorporates "GroRight" fertiliser into the preparation to give
Soils, Bark etc
We supply any mix for top dressing lawns using horticultural sand and fine screened loams with organic compost mixes in if required.
Land drainage is used to overcome problems with water logged gardens.
This has occurred mainly due to two factors:
1. A high natural water table which can be resolved by raising the level of the garden and/or laying plastic coated pipes set in shingle to a discharge point.
and/or
2. Compaction of the ground which has occurred over a period of time due to heavy use of the area which can be helped using our ‘dagger’ system. This sends a shaft either 300mm or 600mm into the ground and lets off a compressed air charge which shatters the surrounding soil/ sub-soil and allows the water to escape into the natural stratas.
