Surrey Heath Dental Care and Dental Implant Centre was opened in 2003 by Dr Nadeem A Zafar. The practice offers state of the art technology (e.g. digital x-rays), and the very latest equipment (e.g. intra-oral cameras) to assure consistency in the quality of care delivered. We are able to offer a comprehensive approach to implant and cosmetic dentistry from the simplest restoration work to complex surgical procedures, all under one roof.
Here is what to expect
When you arrive, one of our dental concierges will greet you and take you on a tour of our incredible new facility. You'll meet some of the other members of our team, see our in-house cosmetic dental lab, view some of our high tech equipment and sterilization area, as well as see examples of our amazing smile transformations. Then, we'll escort you to a private consultation room where we'll help you fill out the necessary paperwork. We continue with a one-on-one discussion covering your past dental history and present concerns. After that, your concierge will then guide you through the rest of the process. We will take any necessary dental x-rays with digital radiography (which uses 90% less radiation that traditional x-rays).
We will perform a full-mouth periodontal probing to determine if you have any signs of gum disease. We will also create a chart of all your teeth and the restorations presently in place and note areas of disease, bleeding, or other problems noted.
We will perform a cancer screening intra-orally checking the tongue, cheeks and surrounding soft tissues.
We will perform a complete cavity check tooth-by-tooth.
We will begin a thorough evaluation of your occlusion (how your teeth meet).
Consultation
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, surgery can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
